And I have to disagree with you: The “from the river to the sea” slogan can and will bei misunderstood or maybe it does exactly what people are thinking: Advocating a violent destruction of Israel and a deportation or murdering of its citizen. I do not know, but seriously, if you want to advocate for “freedom and a life without violence”, maybe use a slogan that can’t be misunderstood as advocating for murdering people? It’s easy.

I really am surprised at your comment. I do remember how the current war started and that was not by Israel doing anything, but by a massive terror attack that killed over 1000 Israelis. That Hamas attack had the clear goal to kill as many Israelis as possible. They went through whole towns and killed or kidnapped everyone. In that context you can’t use a slogan that is in the Hamas charta, that was used by Hamas in the past and is still used by Hamas and post "oh no, it has nothing to do with those terrorists, it is just a “national liberation slogan of the opressed side”. No, it is a slogan used by fucking terrorists and yes, if you are using it, people will notice it and think that you are promoting the goals of this terror group. If you really want peace, just use different slogans that can’t be misunderstood as trying to murder all jews in Israel and you’re fine. Maybe also try to distance yourself from extremists while advocating for peace, it really is helpful

Der Punkt hier ist ja ein anderer: Wenn andere Länder diverse Aufgaben militärisch organisieren, die wir eben nicht militärisch organisieren, dann muss das irgendwie auch in die Prozentziele einberechnet werden. Woanders macht das Militär den Katastrophenschutz, bei uns aus diversen Gründen das THW. Frankreich, Italien und Spanien haben militärisch organisierte Polizei, wir die Bundespolizei und die ganzen Bereitschaftstruppen. Da braucht man sich auch nicht viel vormachen, im Kriegsfall ist das THW natürlich als Pioniertruppe unterwegs und die Bereitschaftspolizei auch sofort im Militäreinsatz und daher sollte man das irgendwie einberechnen in die Verteidigungsziele. Dafür muss man jetzt nicht unbedingt jede freiwillige Feuerwehr paramilitärisch organisieren, am Ende muss man halt Landesverteidigung entsprechend einrechnen egal wie das jetzt organisiert ist.

Das war übrigens noch nie wirklich anders. Natürlich brauchst du Kapital für eine Firmengründung und das kam schon immer als Fremdkapital rein.

I really do not understand what they want to gain by staging a protest like this. They are really not getting their message out to anyone. No bystander will go there and talk to them and inform themselves about their causes (which kind of is the point of a demonstration) when there is a big aggressive mob around. I’m going to lots of demonstrations and know that the police and esp. our Bereitschaftspolizei are too aggressive and sometimes pointlessly violent. But if I saw what was happening there, I would have left immediately. Nothing is gained by such pointless fighting and this only hurts the cause. You do not win any sympathies here by protesting so violently.

Das finde ich einen guten Ansatz - sicherlich nicht die paramilitärische Polizei, aber wenn wir die Energiewende als Landesverteidigung betrachten, um Putin seine Öleinnahmen zu klauen und ihm die Finanzierung abzudrehen, dann ist das zum einen korrekt und zum anderen erhöht das auch das Verteidigungsbudget.

Ich glaube, dass in dieser Debatte zu viel vermischt wird und dass daher fleißig aneinander vorbeigeredet wird: Es gibt einen Unterschied zwischen den Millionenerben, die dann Firmen, Luxusvillen und was nicht alles erben und dabei mit allen Tricks die Erbschaftssteuer umgehen und dem Otto-Normalerben, bei dem es dann eher um ein paar zehntausend Euro geht. Das ist dann vielleicht eine nette Finanzspritze und wenn das Verhältnis gut ist, helfen die Mittelklasse-Eltern vllt. auch vorher in den finanziell kritischen Phasen im Leben aus, aber es ist jetzt nicht diese völlig leistungslose Hängematte, in der man als Erbe gemütlich nichts tut. Diese erbliche Finanzspritze kommt dann aber bei der aktuellen Lebenserwartung auch recht spät im Leben - eher in den 50ern, wenn die Eltern alt werden sogar in den 60ern oder gar 70ern des Lebens.

Und am Ende steckt auch hier wieder der Endgegner aller deutschen Debatten hinter: Die gewaltige Krise auf dem Immobilienmarkt. Woran liegt es, dass die Erben so groß sind? Weil das runtergerockte Häuschen von Oma in den Boomtowns immer noch hundertausende Euro wert ist, in anderen ostdeutschen und ländlichen Regionen aber unverkäuflich. Weil die Mieten so hoch sind, dass alle, die halbwegs mietfrei im Familienheim wohnen können, einfach mehr sparen können, weil nicht alles an Vonovia geht. Weil man im Zweifelsfall das Haus übernehmen kann und nicht 600.000€ für ein eigenes zahlen muss. Und diese Krise steckt wirklich hinter allen Debatten, die wir drumrum führen: Die Kosten für das Bürgergeld oder diverse Sozialleistungen wären nicht so hoch, wenn die Mieten niedriger wären. Mit niedrigeren Mieten und Kaufpreisen hätten alle mehr in der Tasche, außer Vermieter und die Konjunkturlage sähe besser aus, dieser Squeeze in den Gehältern wäre nicht da. Die Leute könnten besser wohnen, eher aus schwierigen Wohnlagen flüchten und sind nicht in Altverträgen gefangen. Hätten wir mehr Wohnraum, könnten wir Flüchtlinge besser integrieren und es gäbe diesen elende Wohnraumkonkurrenzneid nicht. Die Erbfrage wäre weniger brisant.

I totally can understand why some people see this as a call for the elimination of Israel and the murdering or deportation of all jews that live there. You might disagree, but: Many people view that slogan like this and they have their reasons. And it really is stupid from the protestors to run around during a massive police presence shouting that. It’s totally obvious that nothing will we gained by that. Peace in the middle east will not come because you shouted that slogan in the streets of Berlin. Palestinians and Israelis won’t start a dialogue and become friends.
