I’m sure the fact that the steering wheel is a rectangle makes this issue all the more annoying.
Just do a U-turn in the opposite direction.

$5 rc controllers can do turns without losing center, though.
I’m guessing there is a recalibration mode but I’m sure the modern car market would demand you go to the dealership to run that program.
Not the issue, I have a Kia EV6 and have had no issues with steering. Just shitty Tesla thing.
The Kia EV6 is a fairly conventional electric power steering system, pretty sure. Steering wheel is physically connected to the steering rack, so not steer-by-wire.
