KGM was formerly known as SsangYong, a Korean car maker. This isn’t some no name startup. They are mostly using Hyundai Group drivetrains and engines (they used to use ones from Mercedes decades ago), batteries from BYD iirc.
Why is it 30% hood, 40% cab, and 30% bed? That seems oddly proportioned…
I was looking into the Maxus T90 EV pickup, and apparently they don’t even offer a model with two seats and a long bed - which I find ridiculous, considering the bed is the main reason to get a pickup in the first place. On mine, the bed is 180 cm long, which is barely adequate. Anything less than that seems to defeat the purpose entirely. An SUV could probably haul more cargo than a pickup like that.
Could be 3 row suv. $35k is pretty cheap, and cheaper to have unfinished back row and trunk.
