    I’d be careful with komoot. They’ve been operating at a pretty big loss and they were just bought out by a company that has a tendency to rinse a products features for money until everyone leaves. They’ll then sell it on having (in their eyes) hopefully made a profit.

    Maybe this will be different, but I doubt it.

    Export routes from cycle.travel and open them in OsmAnd or Organic Maps or on a GPS device. They do the best routes for cycling and you can navigate in aeroplane mode, saving a tonne of battery and getting zero distractions 👍

      I still buy the map and use it as it is, but subscription model and the new owner mean sooner or later it will turn poopy.

        Yeah, I’m lucky I got in way before the changes. I think new users are stuck with having to pay for everything? Now I just can’t access the multi-day rides, which is inconvenient if I want to go bikepacking, but the workarounds are fine.

        And yeah, they will probably find a way to make older users pay for basic features too.
