True, but not always. A lot of waste and pollution comes from packaging, which if I think about it seems to be an industry which tries (and succeeds) to create it’s own demand. Like this one, a new “recyclable” packaging with more plastics in it than the old bags.

I get what you’re saying, but I disagree. The (male) people I see hating on trans people can just as easily hate any group they’re not part of. They hate homosexuals because they think every gay person will try to have sex with them, they hate blacks because they steal your job due to DEI, they hate muslims because they’re all terrorists, they hate disabled people because they don’t contribute to society, and they hate trans people because it confuses them. They can always find a reason (not through their own critical thinking skills though) to hate anyone.

I remember Java being seen as the best thing ever in the 90’s, and it was considered “cool” at that time. So cool even, that it became the programming equivalent of a hammer, every coding challenge looked like a nail for which you could use it.

I’ve been habitually excercizing for over a year, and then one day I just stopped going. And I’m not even diagnosed for ADHD, just a regular guy with some of the traits. So I don’t think that first tip is going to work.

This seems like a very U.S. centric view. I live in the Netherlands, most places here are unionized. And ofcourse it doesn’t hurt to change jobs every now and then, and I would never stay in a job at a place I don’t like working for. But I also wouldn’t change jobs just to get a raise, because I would get the raise regardless. Reasons I have quit jobs in the past were 1. a company keeping me working through an agency, 2 an emerging toxic culture, 3. Company got sold and went from being innovative to a cash cow, changing my job from engineering to an administrative position.

Taller people have higher BMI’s, something to consider.

I only view the channels I’m following, and never click on anything else there. So as long as Youtube doesn’t inject te AI shit in those channels, I’m good.

Civilized in this context would mean “at an advanced state of social and cultural development” I guess? Looking at this definition, I can allready tell you I live in th most civilized part of the world, since this would be higly subjective.

Says who I hate my job? I have switched jobs occasionally, but these guys will work somewhere for less than two years on average. I’m specifically referring to the seagull category of coworkers here, they come flying in with a lot of noise, shit all over the place and then leave with a lot of noise, leaving the shit to clean up for others.

God I hate these guys who hop from one to the other job every few years. It’s always the guys who talk big, and when they can’t deliver (mostly because their “great” ideas will break something else) quickly leave “because this company is too much set in it’s ways”.

*I lived, and still live, in a very rural area, which is not know for being progressive.

In the Netherlands, it’s not like the King or his family aren’t doing anything. They are somewhat like special ambassadors for the country. They also are highly connected, both to people in governments and other people in a position of power. And they do answer to the Parliament.
