Re-downloading 32TB would take a while but you’ll probably download it faster than you can watch it. Usenet downloads are typically faster than torrenting.
Plex is much easier to setup than Jellyfin and much more user-friendly in general, though it’s not free for some of the more useful features like watching from outside your home.

I’ll need to research the best method for mounting those drives directly back into ProxMox without data loss and then re-share it back to Plex.

I used the forum post below to feel my way through it. You might also just try using a Privileged LXC if the security concerns don’t bother you.

some_dude@lemm.eeOPto Self Hosted - Self-hosting your services.@lemmy.ml•[Question] Is TrueNAS VM useful in my use case?English2·12 days agoIt’s probable that I’m missing something but I couldn’t get the share to be available to any other VM or LXC on ProxMox until I passed the pool from TrueNAS back to ProxMox.
I’m all for getting rid of the TrueNAS VM as long as I can reassemble the zfspool in ProxMox without losing the data (though if I did, no big deal). And I’d also like a user friendly way of monitoring the health of my disks.
