You assholes would gatekeep oxygen if a fat person was breathing it next to you.
Shut. Up. Let people have fun.

shaggyb@lemmy.worldto No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•Democratic wages??? edit: never mind, it was a terrible idea that has many large holes3·15 days agoI agree that this a colossally stupid idea.
However, it has the virtue of not being every other word I read online. For the novelty of it, I thank you.
shaggyb@lemmy.worldto Bicycles@lemmy.ca•Bike shop owner says “constant bad press” for e-bikes such as BBC Panorama episode drove closure1·20 days agoE-bikes make cycling accessible to people who have disabilities and to people who don’t want to put in the conditioning but want to enjoy a hobby with their friends who do.
I love riding rural trails. I train for it. I do distance rides for fun. My wife and several of my friends love the adventure of it but don’t want to put in the consistent training. They’re healthy people, just not 75-100 mile per week riders like I am. Because of E-bikes, my wife and I can go on a few long rides a year together - me on a manual bike and her on our e-bike.
Don’t be such a dick. If you don’t want to use a motor, don’t.
shaggyb@lemmy.worldto No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•It's a sin in Christianity to consume media based on ancient mythology and folklore?0·24 days agoYou, specifically, possibly. I don’t know you and I certainly don’t care who “your people” are. But if you rely on a sky fairy to tell you it’s bad to bludgeon children to death rather than having basic compassion to tell you, signs aren’t good for you. All you’d need is for a charismatic sociopath to tell you the magic cloud genie changed its mind and then it’s all of our brains bashed in. History has proven that.
shaggyb@lemmy.worldto No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•It's a sin in Christianity to consume media based on ancient mythology and folklore?0·24 days agoAnd this is why religions are so dangerous and terrifying right here.
If you can’t answer that question on your own, you are frightening.
shaggyb@lemmy.worldto No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•It's a sin in Christianity to consume media based on ancient mythology and folklore?0·24 days agoSin is defined is an act in defiance of god. There is no god to defy.
Your question presumes that harm can only come from sin. That presumption is nonsensical in the absence of a god.
shaggyb@lemmy.worldto No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•It's a sin in Christianity to consume media based on ancient mythology and folklore?0·25 days agoSin is a myth. There is no god to judge you.
Consider the harm your actions and beliefs cause. The rest is bullshit.
shaggyb@lemmy.worldto Mildly Infuriating@lemmy.world•Good ol' Reddit, at it again (and again, and again, and...).English1·25 days agoI think it’s a bullshit rule, myself.
But it is a clearly-stated rule.
The real question is how many accounts you want to throw at it, because if you ask me, in for a penny in for a pound.
And it is morally correct to harass elon.
Parents need to do their fucking jobs and keep their shithead kids out of my business.
