You can do unit conversions, great binary/hex/oct calculation
Ok you’re actually right about those improvements👍 and yeah those were actually really handy.
Are you sure it can do visualization, graphing, and dates? Is this on W11? I’m not on my computer atm but I don’t remember those functions/features.
I acutally use Qalculate as well when I have to use my Windows laptop
Fuck Microsoft for not bothering to improve on the calculator app for decades.
no worries🤗
I need you to change your editorial direction as I’m in this comment.
err do you perhaps mean flash memory?
All of the articles I’d read so far has mentioned QLC/TLC and their “Xtacking” generation.
Not sure but I could have missed an article that talks about their RAM manufacturing.🤷♀️
Before I search:
“China Tech Threat”
Gonna by real, I’ve never even heard of YMTC but maybe this is because the abstracted layer I work at is at the SI and Software Dev level.
The names I know and/or recognize that manufactures memory is Micron, Samsung, Kingston, and Patriot.
Just curious but has anyone tried Bcachefs?
I haven’t due to a number of concerns:
Very adorable🤗❤️
Welcome to the club😺
Several times as viewable here on the Fediverse; this account, my P.D. account, accidentally posted a comment to the wrong post as viewable in the modlogs😣, CCing lemmy.ca admins and P.D. admins.
Making mistakes all the time is painful; hopefully I’ve repeated less of them as time continues or so I hope anyways…
If I recall correctly KDE’s Kate has folding and isn’t Electron-based (Qt-based?)
If I recall correctly I think he uses Fedora on a Macbook Pro.
Please correct me if I’m wrong.
But as nice as this system sounds, it also sounds oh, so proprietary and complex. I like simple things when talking bikes. LOL
Totally fair.
After I watched their video Q’AUTO - Features & Tips | SHIMANO and reread this post’s linked article I’m a bit less enthused as the app and potential patent seems to indicate that this is proprietary :/
Shimano automatic-shifting
WHAT?!?!!!
I want it
AHHHHHHHHH Pain
Edit:
I’m pretty hard on my bikes so the chains grind uncomfortably against the cassette, I’ll have to replace the cassette, chains, and front shifter cable soon as it’s too short to retension😬
So this autoshifter system is perfect for me😍
I really hope a strong copyleft license is promoted because while MIT, Apache, and BSD are considered open source licenses by the OSI; those permissive licenses still allow for corporations and bad actors to benefit from the efforts of many developers without proper reciprocation of payment and/or contributions.
The current supply chain ecosystem (including Trump’s tariffs) that’s probably driving up the cost makes me sad as I really want to see more Linux phone choices like this come to market as it drives the prices of other similar devices down. :(
I really want to buy a Linux native phone that’s comparable or at least close to Samsung’s S8 or Google’s Pixel 3.
In maybe 2 years if there’s still nothing decent available I’m probably gonna buy a used phone on Ebay or wherever and just flash pmOS or GrapheneOS. I’d rather spend my time than money at this point.
This being $2039 CAD I can’t find any way to justify the price. Even as the Linux enthusiast in my circles this is too much.
For 2k I’d honestly rather buy a Framework 16.
Either way best of luck to the campaign👍
You can think of Linux as the underlying engine that runs your computer just like Windows 10/11 or MacOS.
Thankfully just like a car you don’t need to fully understand the intricacies in order a Linux desktop🤗
Why not just limit the distance that knobheads can approach the streets?
I’m not a pro racer but I’d assume that reducing/preventing the number of people standing on the tracks will significantly reduce the number of injured cyclists/racers.
