I know exactly what you’re talking about. I had a few of them many years ago while in college. At the time, people would use them to make sure their laptops wouldn’t make sounds when turning them on during class. I’ll post an update if I find them.

I’m in a similar boat and was considering moving to Ireland or Chile. In the end, I couldn’t overcome the immigration requirements, so I decided to just move to a better state within the US. Not sure if it’s the best option, but maybe that could also improve things for you.

Please stop spreading this misinformation. 4wd/awd does not make a car safer in the snow. Winter tires do. A 2wd with winter tires will perform better than 4wd by a long shot.
