Slotkin is the new Sinema and can GFY, but there is a component to this that does deserve some discussion.
If you look back on the past 10 years of the Democrats climbing hills for issues, I think it’s out of sync with the majority of people. The staunch fight for identity politics is not what people seem to want or need right now, and they need to understand that. Maybe there was a time when this was what their constituents wanted, but no longer.
Now they need to be really fucking strong on fighting the billionaires, pushing back against the front to vast majority of the country that has no wealth, and finding ways to make that flip around so that the wealthy who are imposing the enshitification of the lower and middle class are held accountable for doing so.
Forget the current struggles we’re forced to dread living through, and give people a clear plan and the hope that you’ll actually be attacking these things when elected. Seems pretty simple.
I’ll hop on this. I lot of the cheaper cameras ONLY have cloud connectivity, which is not what you want. You specifically need to look for RTSP cameras, and shy away from any that are overpriced because they provide “AI” bullshit onboard. You can use Frigate to do inference to detect objects and events if you wish, so don’t by the default of having that on the camera.
There’s a lot of these out there. They mostly work by using tricks to reduce the layers in the results image with known tweaks to how they are built. They remove things included in the final image that aren’t used, essentially. Dockerslim is another that is popular. They don’t impact security in a negative way.
Deb is fine, but flatpak may need other permissions to access resources outside the runtime, which is why I asked.
Are you getting a specific error, and are your media files local to the system you’re running Plex from?
Are you running it via flatpak?
I have never seen this.
10% benchmark difference
Anyone want to guess what “Squelch” means here? I imagine it being a tiny fart when there is a larger one in the chamber.
Well, friend, I hate to break it to you, but your package experience is going to be every modern distro out there.
You’re running an OS that evolves weekly and monthly. Think about who makes software for Windows, and why it’s always fucking terrible.
You’re running an OS that needs constant attention and builds to make it compatible. It’s a lot of work, and I have to say how annoying you are for complaining about free shit that annoys you.
Can’t say this is an idea or attitude that happens much in today’s world.
The docs pretty much explain it.
There is literally nothing about Cachy’s construct that would support what you’re saying. It’s a distro made with tiny tweaks here and there, but nothing that would make a night and day difference the way you’re describing.
Would love to get some stats and hard facts about your experience though.
VIXY all the wayyyyy baybay
Then why did you comment? 😂

It’s an Executive Order and has no legal precedent. A memory at best.
There’s a lot of stuff going on here, so let me break down your post for each issue:
You need to understand the difference between a
docker run
command, and detaching to run a container in the background. Just running it with ‘run’ keeps it in the foreground. For the passphrase issue: https://github.com/nextcloud/all-in-one/discussions/1786
Lastly, if you’re not familiar with containers, and this is a single purpose machine, you’d be better off just running the bare project on the host. If there’s no need for containerization, just skip it.
