seems to work for me rn but youtube’s web ui has been extremely slow for the past few years. videos take more than 15 secs to load and start… to the point where running a terminal and doing yt-dlp & mpv is much quicker/easier.
well, you can’t leech from people with closed ports so… it’s still worse. better to get something that can actually forward ports.
i’m inclined to believe the average lemmy user is much less likely to fall for those stuff tbh.
i remember seeing a female version of the logo… not sure if i can link lol
that’s very weird. maybe x11 vs wayland?
i just use yt-dlp with a config that stores all metadata. seems to work fine… but its kinda hassle to find what you need among all downloaded stuff
우와 lemmy에 한국인이…ㄷㄷ 반갑습니다
seamonkey is pretty good actually
my extremely crappy cherrytrail atom laptop came with 2gb of ram and win10 32bit. no other os works properly so i just heavily optimized the thing to use like 200mb ram idle. slow but usable.
…but to do this i had to replace explorer.exe with bbzero and get rid of basically every service lol
sdf.org instance is awesome.
mlmym on my powerful phone, boost on my low end phone. mlmym is better to use but it’s too heavy since its a webapp.
it’s trivial to remove ads and tracker from the boost app but it’s still proprietary.
seamonkey’s a direct descendant of netscape communicator and still includes a wysiwyg editor. it’s pretty good for basic stuff.
gotta remove that french language pack
this is really cool, is it still possible to run the first version on current win10?
i’ve kinda looked into it and my solution was running full libreoffice inside proot inside termux using termux-x11. kinda glitchy but it is surprisingly usable on a tablet+keyboard.
i’m surprised nobody said “i use arch btw” yet
XMPP with OMEMO?
