Yup, that’s how operate. I went to help a colleague with some stuff and dude had so many tabs and windows open it took him more time to find the tab he wanted me to see than it wouldn’t taken me to search for it. Annoying

It’s garbage food that’s more expensive than sit-down options. Everyone has a phone, so with 10 minutes of pre planning you can order from anywhere and not have to sit there and wait which makes McDonald’s lose ground in convenience too.
Pricing is about the only place McDonald’s could win, but they’re too greedy and we all know it.

Can anyone remind me why we give the dumbest and least productive of us the most representation and govt handouts?
At this point nearly any device with a screen can emulate SNES games and the consoles that came before it. I have a cheap Chinese retro game handheld from Ali Express and it’s honestly so refreshing to play games that aren’t begging me to spend extra money.
Also, playing fan translations of games that weren’t released in the west like mother 3 and dragon quest monsters is so cool. 10 year old me would be so jealous.

Those red states are shit holes now. Look bombed out and war torn because industry left and took the money with them, and they were thriving 40 years ago.
A wiser human than me could probably find a way to incentivise companies moving headquarters out of high cost of living areas to more rural areas where rent isn’t half your paycheck.
fishy@lemmy.todayto A Boring Dystopia@lemmy.world•More Americans are financing groceries with buy now, pay later loans — and more are paying those bills late, survey saysEnglish7·11 days agoMy experience is that there’s always a hidden surcharge with DD or Uber eats. Like fries are $3 if you call it in yourself, but are $3.30 or something in an app. A couple years ago I had a $10 off $40 coupon and dash pass from my credit card. Total after fees for pickup was like $55 and just calling it in myself was $45.
Not saying it’s impossible to save using them, but good luck.

His brother was the one who was like “I’m gonna sell the flakes, not the dick snip bit.” They got into a huge battle when the quack doctor realized his brother was making more money selling the cereal than he was selling religious pseudoscience.

What’s sad is like half of the country is basically still asleep at the wheel and just voting for whatever party they’ve been voting for and are more informed about celebrities than the constitutional crisis occurring.

As a liberal white millionaire I am still confused and concerned at how many idiots I am trying to lift up are encasing their feet in concrete, and a little voice says “maybe it’s their nature and you should give them what they ask for.”
I’m disgusted by this all around, don’t turn me into what I fucking hate.

fishy@lemmy.todayto News@lemmy.world•California is now the 4th largest economy in the worldEnglish7·15 days agoLet’s just give them the capitalism they say they want. We’re sending Red states a far larger amount of federal funds than they send in (I believe the stat is red states average $2 received for every dollar sent and it’s like 70¢ for every dollar sent is returned to blue states.
Red states are literally welfare states. What happened to bootstraps there?
IMO this is the best option. Choose activities you’d like to do and you’ll meet women with similar interests and it’s way easier to connect.
