The premise that fish can’t feel pain because we don’t know for a certainty that they can is blatantly just mental gymnastics to justify the continued practice of a cruel hobby.

Was the bench around a corner or jutting out? Was the boy part of a crowd that obscured the bench? Is the bench somehow camouflaged? Is it static and stationary?
Is the boy fully sighted? Is it dark? Did someone distract him? Was he panicked by someone? Could he have deliberately run into it?
There’s meant to be an internal rhyme there, as in “take one down and pass it around”. I suggest “tinker a bit, push a commit”.
Also, “programming code”? I’d go with “legacy app” or “code monolith” or something.
And let’s also change “92” and “99” to be make the refactor comprehensive.
I can personally vouch for this.

I’ve never read about this! It cost $200 million and was a failure - the soil microbes used much more oxygen than expected and the resulting carbon dioxide reacted with the concrete walls to make calcium carbonate, so neither the human “crew” nor the plants had enough to breathe.

Some old bollards and mooring posts, mostly in London, are old cannons, just to be pedantic! You can find them if you know what to look for, but London alone has 60,000+ streets and it’s not like no new bollards have been installed since the Napoleonic wars.
