It’s unclear. The Vatican denies it, but apparently weirder methods have been used to certify the passing of a pope before, so who knows.

Not only because soybeans are grown everywhere in Brazil but also because there are multiple other reasons why deforestation happens, like illegal logging, mining and cattle raising.
My favorite is the red-crested cardinal(Paroaria coronata) but I know their chances of becoming Pope are slim because it’s very unlikely they’d elect two South-American cardinals in a row.
