Hell yeah you do, but I just use a regular old mason jar with a lid for that.

PraiseTheSoup@lemm.eeto Technology@lemmy.world•Tesla Reportedly Has $800 Million Worth of Cybertrucks That Nobody WantsEnglish4·10 days agoChrysler had an inventory of over 1 million last year, they’ve ran through that by March.
That’s insane considering Chrysler hasn’t made a decent vehicle in 20+ years and the majority of them are just as big piles of shit as the cybertruck.
I use Keepass but mostly for convenience and I don’t understand why it’s in the 5th category. If I have 50 different accounts with 50 different passwords but they can all be had with one keepass password, how is that different than having 50 different accounts all using the same password?
It’s got a perfect head but the handle is waaaay too thick
PraiseTheSoup@lemm.eeto Linux@lemmy.world•Great take on "Why don't more people use Linux?"English01·1 month agoA USB WiFi adapter was easily $100 at the time and besides, if I wanted to use dongles to achieve basic functionality I would have just bought an apple product.
PraiseTheSoup@lemm.eeto Linux@lemmy.world•Great take on "Why don't more people use Linux?"English0·1 month agoTo be fair, i installed linux on an old laptop and i just cannoy get the wifi to be reliable. I found myself reading about the minutia of intel wifi drivers and how wifi works in detail just to try tonsolve this issue.
I had this exact experience. I tried multiple distros too. In the end I had to go back to windows because that’s the only way the wifi worked short of replacing hardware and it just wasn’t worth that.
PraiseTheSoup@lemm.eeto You Should Know@lemmy.world•YSK: You can install an extension on Firefox (android) that allows you to play YouTube videos with your screen locked: (perfect for listening to obscure music)0·3 months agoI’ve used most of these and quite frankly they are not good. Each of them quit working randomly or wouldn’t play certain tracks and wouldn’t get an update for days or weeks, at which point I’d move on to the next and get exactly the same experience. They’re FOSS apps, and I’m fairly certain Google is to blame for breaking them, but even so if they are unusable for days or weeks at a time I cannot recommend them.
If you just want a YouTube app with no ads and background playback I would recommend PipePipe. It’s what I’ve settled on after trying everything else, and it’s fantastic. Google breaks it all the time, but updates very quickly bring it back online.
If you want something FOSS that’s closer to the YT Music experience, I don’t know what to tell you.
PraiseTheSoup@lemm.eeto Mildly Infuriating@lemmy.world•The longer I look, the more confused I get. What is this marketing?English0·1 year agoNobody actually trusts HP anymore do they? They’ve been selling trash for 20 years now.
Yesterday I would have recommended Blue Eye Samurai because the first several episodes were lightning in a bottle. Unfortunately I watched the finale last night and it was such incredible trash that it ruined the entire show.
