Had a tricky patch in life. Recovered. I remember the calls and letters from that time, and the relief of finding a way out. Not sure if it can help OP, but hope there’s something similar available today.
LumpyPancakes@lemm.eeto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•I’m drowning and I don’t know where else to go.30·8 days agoIn Australia we have a thing called a part 9 debt agreement. If you enter into one of those it’s an ‘act of bankruptcy’ but you have an agreement with creditors to pay them off over a long period and potentially without interest.
Once in an agreement I believe they must stop hassling you.
Source: had one 20+ years ago.
I could have gone bankrupt instead, but it wasn’t fair to the people who I owed money to.
My phone was on 5% battery so I turned it off. While sitting on the shitter, I examined its pale blue body (Moto g84) and observed the dents on the edges from the times it had fallen to a hard surface.
I reminisced back 30 years when it would have been a Phillips, Hanimex, Aiwa or Sony walkman that had been my similar constant companion, whose design was etched in my memory after months or years of use.
They’re kind of right. We don’t see the phone for what it is, but rather for what it displays; although the intimate knowledge of the contols of the phone remain.

But it’s probably DRM’d so who knows when it’ll kill itself. It’d be like driving an HP printer - get in one day and the bastard will say PC LOAD LETTER, or more contemporary, “Problem with the ink system.”

Hi from near the top of the iceberg. I have five from the top and two from the next level down, plus two from level four. A balanced diet?

Sounds like a smart socket might do what you need, externally, with some coding.
