Gotta switch to proportional representation if you want to break up the two parties. I suggest Sequential Proportional Approval Voting for multi-winner elections, and pair it with regular Approval Voting for single-winner elections. Both can be implemented at every level in the US, and some places can do so by referendum. Lemme know if you’re interested.

So you would set your password through the website, verify that the login was working (through the website) and then have that same login fail through the app.

Then I forget what I did and look up how to do it again six months later. I’m fine with this arrangement, though I will prefer to have to use it less.
No complaints so far! What did the reviews say? I’m using a 16 with the graphics module.

I got a framework, which is built around quality parts, repairability, and upgradeability. Theoretically it’s the last laptop I will ever buy.

Liz@midwest.socialto Memes@lemmy.ml•"If you didn't want fascism you should have voted!"English0·29 days agoI will advocate to replace it when I’m in office and a Democrat, against the protests of some of my co-workers. As the other commenter pointed out, Newsom killed an anti-FPTP bill, but that means there’s enough support in the California legislature to get a bill to his desk.
Liz@midwest.socialto Memes@lemmy.ml•"If you didn't want fascism you should have voted!"English0·29 days agoI mean, I want to replace FPTP though. Any kind of proportional system is ideal, but Sequential Proportional Approval Voting is ideal.
Liz@midwest.socialto Fuck Cars@lemmy.world•They won't let you live that Bob's Burgers life!English1·1 month agoA lot of those buildings were put in before the more strict zoning laws. In a lot of places, the good buildings are grandfathered in for mixed use or even just for existing. Besides, there’s plenty of places that would benefit greatly from little micro downtowns built this way, but it’s illegal to do so. Zoning that makes efficient housing and commercial development impossible is the devil.

I suggest switching to Approval Voting for single-winner elections and Sequential Proportional Approval Voting for legislatures in order to break the two party system and let people support parties and candidates they actually like. Lemme know if you want pointers on how to switch your local system.
