It’s insane. This maybe also explains why the communists haven’t been succesful in India, if they take the same positions as the ruling party.

Being disabled is terrible. Everybody thinks less of you, don’t want to be your friend, date you and don’t think you’re worth listening or talking to. Sometimes I even get bullied.
No matter where I go, I get less respect than others. I feel like I’m not human.
At least I’m able to talk more about how this hurts me, and it helps a bit.
How do they feel about Alaska?
While Hasan Piker isn’t perfect on Palestine, I feel like he gets too much unfair criticism from the left
Amsterdam pride is basically just a commercial for companies as well. And we also had a boat for the ministry of defense, another boat for the police and another boat for political parties with GroenLinks, PvdA, CDA and VVD
For real, I can remember like three other incidents in the past ten years that looked like they were going to lead to war
Interesting, I would like to know more about this
It’s not a free day in the Netherlands, so I’m gonna take the day off to join the parade. But almost no one celebrates it here unless you’re very involved with a left wing political party or a union.
I hadn’t used it before! It was through asking Deepseek that I found a solution for my problem. And yeah I like extensions as well. They make browsing the web fun again.
Just downloaded Ublock Origin so I could filter out the Reddit search bar. When I procrastinate I type in stuff on Reddit a lot, so I’m happy I could find a solution for this.
It was a small meeting for Worker Memorial Day, and a lunch afterwards. There was not much discussion on their ideology but one person did call herself leftist, and another person talked about discrimination women and LGBT people face in Amsterdam, and others were in agreement about what was said. I heard nothing bad.
FNV. The Dutch federation of unions
I just went to my first union meeting. It was on a thursday morning so there were a lot of retirees. But there were some younger people. I was very nervous since it was my first time and I didn’t know anybody. But eventually I could connect to some people.
I wholeheartely agree. They are near irrelevant but they don’t even want to work together with organisations they deem to be authoritarian.
Don’t worry, I plan on unleashing a discussion about it, where I will make my stance clear. Apparently there was also a vote at the last national meetings to denounce stalinism and maoism and to allow checking if future resolutions aren’t due to authoritarian influences. A lot of people in the party that I vibe with approved the vote.
Remember the post I made a couple of days ago about wanting to leave my party? Well now they want to hold an event about authoritarian leftism
The same happened with the Netherlands in our colonies of Suriname and the Antilles. Part of the compensation was that slaves still had to work for ten years after the “abolition” of slavery
Traoré and his prime minister are socialists and they try to emulate Sankara but I’m not so sure how much that shows in the general state apparatus. But I generally feel like they are moving in a socialist direction.
What’s happening?
