We need strong investments in everything software related and reduce barriers and bureaucracy for startups and scaleups I worked in a scale-up and we are simply not competitive, it was tough to find talent and they money we got as investment was pennies compared to US VC funding… Making way more difficult to scale.
Those companies are American, yes they have offices in other locations, but they are mostly American. We need to build proper competition, in Europe.
Look it from the environmental point of view if you want, yes second hand is a smart choice.
The Energy consumption is way less important in a phone than in a washing machine… sure there are billions of them but they consume almost nothing.
Repairability and updates are in my opinion way more important, and the icons with super tiny letters are super unclear.

We are talking about the right to not have an imposed license at purchase, this is because you don’t want to use windows but Linux. But buying a new PC for Linux is quite stupid, since the used market is overloaded of used uses PCs and it will probably go crazy in a few months with end of support of Windows10.
