This seems like it could be a fun project. Mind making a post about the build sometime?
Making it less easy to commit suicide actually does help reduce the rates of suicide. Spontaneous ones in particular.
France now gets one week of free pass from banter as a reward for their hard work
The sanctions stay basically only because of Florida having been a battleground state and Cuban immigrants being a significant voting bloc
I enjoyed it. Probably not the best movie ever made, but a solid two hours of decent entertainment
Partner is also suffering from depression so every freaking time I begged to please turn the tv off, it’s just ended in a 30 minute therapy session at home on how I can improve myself.
That does not seem particularly healthy.
It’s actually worse than lossless being discernable or not on bluetooth - people cannot reliably tell between high-quality compressed audio and lossless audio generally. This has been studied to oblivion - the jury is out, there’s no more discussion to be had on the subject.
Trocadero, a soda with orange and apple flavour from Sweden. They released a zero sugar version which is now called Trocazero.
This whole thing is just garbage and should probably be taken down -
I don’t think it’s even out of the question that the study actually supports the opposite conclusion, but all of this of course doesn’t matter since there was a massive confounding variable involved in that there was a global pandemic going on during the study.

Cars are bad enough as it is that we don’t have to imagine more problems with them.
Fuck being efficient all the time. That’s such a fucking capitalist mindset.
Are you under the impression that a socialist or communist society would not be in the pursuit of efficiency? Think again. They would merely be making sure the efficiency would not come at the cost of the workers, and put the increased efficiency to use in service of the workers (fewer hours etc).
Extremely weird thing to be elitist and off-putting about.
Not a good time. Definitely one of those loss of innocence moments. I used to stride fearlessly through the city in the middle of the night, and I have not quite gotten that back yet. It’s better, but not the same.
I’m pleasantly surprised to see this cross the threshold. I was kind of not expecting it to, given that it had something like 500k signatures a week ago.
Way to go, everyone!
I’ve been punched in the face by passers-by without any provocation in my life before, which has led to me constantly being vigilant.
I’m very happy I started hedging early in my career by saving a very large fraction of my income. Working in tech has been excellent for me, but there’s never been any guarantee that this will last forever. At that point, I will probably be ready to live off my savings, should that become necessary. Then it doesn’t really matter what any market looks like - I will be able to do whatever I feel like during the days.
It’s worse than not being done for being cheaper - it’s politically less convenient to let people die. Car infrastructure is many times more expensive than safer alternatives, and far less efficient at moving people.
