  • Armed protests didn’t protect Sandy Brook when American cops decided they didn’t care. Armed protests haven’t fucking done shit, peaceful protests haven’t done shit either.

But where do you think there is to FUCKING go?! You will DIE in an anarchy, you will DIE under communism, you will DIE under a monarchy, you will DIE in a dictatorship, and you will DIE under democracy.

You cannot be satisfied, because I know the truth. You’re all FUCKING SCUMBAGS who think of themselves as deserving of “wealth to have power over others” just to feel safe.

Go. Away. All of you. If you can’t trust a random person because the system is corrupt to the core, no system will ever be good enough for any of you. Your neighbours, your friends, your family, and most of all your leaders cannot be trusted under standards like that no matter HOW much anyone likes them.

And that means I can’t trust you, because you already never trusted me. I’m done with this fucking bullshit, I hope you all get yourselves killed because you’re the ones who have doomed us just as much as the rich assholes; you will delegitimize any government and if we end up in anarchy because of that, I have no reason to not commit omnicide. Not genocide, omnicide. We will be extinct. That is how much you fucking disgust me.

  • I don’t exactly remember what I said, but I have to say I wouldn’t call Linux as a whole truly cult-like. Additionally, I agree Arch is too complicated to set up, but also that Microsoft is doing intolerable things with Windows.

However, some Linux distros do not have reasonable developers. It’s one thing to say Arch is complicated, that is true. It’s another for the developer of a niche distro like bazzite to refuse to explain the reasoning of a design choice and tell you “drop it or we ban you” for seemingly no reason.

It’s not the only time I’ve seen this happen, nor are the other instances of such limited to me personally; apparently GrapheneOS has a paranoid(?) developer who is convinced that a youtuber who used to use that OS was a government spy. I say this as someone who still uses Graphene OS, that does not encourage people to be kind and courteous when you refuse to even just say “it’s easier said than done, not going to happen” to someone requesting a feature.

As a result, I apologize genuinely for what I may have accused you of, just please don’t snap at me now that I’ve done so like that bazzite developer; I’m sorry, I shouldn’t have snapped at you.

  • Hi. Can I apologize for getting so upset on your Discord and ask something? Next time you won’t do something, please at least recommend another Distro that might.

I discovered my best option is Arch Linux, though setup was not easy. Projects like Steam Handheld Integration Project are probably the best option for someone if they ask for a feature and you are unable or unwilling to provide it, I understand you’re not obligated to code anything and just want to say that if a feature is outside of scope, recommendations for other distros is the best approach to deal with Linux newbies like me.

Also, to anyone asking, yes Arch was a pain. It’s a small miracle I got it working. It is, however, a good option for Windows 11 handhelds like the OneXFly if you understand command lines (CLIs) like my brother.

    Thank you.

  • Yeah, sounds like you had awful digital hygiene. Not that it helps to have good digital hygeine like I did. All it takes is the majority of people’s opinions becoming sufficiently extremist for your life to be irrevocably ruined.

Unfortunately, emailing people won’t actually get your data removed. They are supposed to, legally speaking, but they have already sold your data to those who maliciously make use of it. That’s the only reason they let that law be in place, because once they sold data, the new owner is not obligated to delete their copies of that data. And they sell this data multiple times, meaning there are now countless owners of data about your personal history. Not just for advertising, either. It is increasingly obvious it’s being used to sway elections. If you value democracy, get an ad-blocker and refuse to disable it for any reason.

  • Oddly, GPS is something I trust more than modern alternatives. GPS might be USAF’s doing, but they specifically made it open use and self-locating. While modern smartphones, unfortunately, have a shitton of snooping with GPS, the concept requires no such transmission: Your GPS device triangulates it’s own position based on the signal strength of the orbiting satellites, and displays a marker on a map.

Meanwhile, several American corporate competitors exist that, and the Chinese GPS-ish system also, requires internet to determine location based on data that should remain private.

  • Well, it’s exactly that in technical terms, yes. Somehow, “complementary games included (subject to limited-time redeemability on a monthly basis) each month you subscribe” is not as marketable from Amazon as from Humble Bundle. Privacy is becoming serious business now that things outside the gaming industry are becoming… a game of chance? Eh, whatever, I’m not here for politics and this seems like an okay way to buy GOG titles.

  • The Broligarchy: “Everything.”

Me: Squints Pours glowing demon tanning lotion on ground

Trump: “You dare dispute my rule?! And you would have these… mongrels… come here to die?”

Open Source Metaverse online. Launching Anti-StarLink missiles…

Warning. FOSS Metaverse alternative launch detected.

The Broligarchy: “This was not how it was supposed to be…”

Me: “Times change. But war, war never changes.”

“We will never be slaves. But we WILL be online. For the Open Source Metaverse we deserve!”

Anyway, hopefully that’s the real future in some sense. The metaverse is, technologically, in a state resembling 1995’s World Wide Web. We can stop the changes that made social media happen the first time, but that comes at a grave cost of it’s own… Zero tolerance for interference with the FOSS paradigm. This means no censorship even for the most vile of content, and no government authority over online activity ever again. It also means we have less than 150 years to become immortal because having children inherently puts kids at risk of sexual exploitation, so everyone - literally everyone - must be made infertile permanently to make that impossible.

Life extension is actually plausible, and omnispermicide would make denying it a war crime. That is the only fix I can see, but all of you would never pay it. That is why I stopped writing; every goddamn story and society at large championed “anti-escapism” in 2017 and onwards, and I will NEVER forgive you all for that. Fuck reality. I Have No Truth and I Must Dream. I want to die because I hate you all.
