  • “Waterfall process” is a curseword in software development for a reason.

To me it proves the person is thinks that a game can be created without prototyping and iteration. In addition to only doing 10% of the work, they are under the illusion that they have done 80% and completing it is just a rote exercise. They have also overdesigned untested features and mechanics which makes any iteration harder. I’d have to break their thing down and iterate over the parts with them while also explaining this to them.

    It’s just double worst.

The “Proportional-Integral-Derivative Controller”, known as PID controller, is used to balance a million things like drone motors, air contitioners, assembly line robotic arms, and chainsaws.

It can be made to work electronically, pneumatically, or mechanically.

It - and partial versions of it (like a PD Controller) - was independently invented multiple times throughout history:

    • windmills in 17th century france to regulate pressure based on wind speed
    • factory steam engines to regulate fuel consumption based on load (Centrifugal Governor - invented twice)
    • the 19th century Whitehead Torpedo to reach and maintain depth
    • tons more, I forget

  • The artist, Stonetoss, makes a career on catering to homophobia, transphobia, racism, antifeminism, all the nazi shit.

It is very much deliberate. He tends to use nazi dogwhistles to make his comics pass cursory censorship.

Sometimes he makes merely mildly hateful comics, like this. That is also a deliberate attempt to avoid censorship and spread the comics outside the nazi bubble. This is why he rebranded out of his previous comic “Red Panels” which was all nazi all the time and got banned everywhere.
