Its not the lack of sleep that kills you, it is the stress on your body from not sleeping for long periods of time causing things like heart failure and aneurysms.
Nowadays everybody wants to talk like they got something to say but nothing comes out when they move their lips just a bunch of gibberish.
Its not the lack of sleep that kills you, it is the stress on your body from not sleeping for long periods of time causing things like heart failure and aneurysms.
Why would I be forced to murder myself in an alternate universe by existing in it simultaneously?
Since I cannot travel to a universe where my alternate self is dead, what happens after they die in their universe if I cannot exist in it without them?
Did you recently watch “The One”?
Does this forget that intrusive thoughts exist for everyone and generally most people would assume it was just that?
I was in the workforce at the age of 10 and can read at a post secondary level so I am unsure what this has to do with literacy rates.
I was pointing out why they were wrong, not that it cannot happen elsewhere.
21% of the country is clinically illiterate. In the remaining 79%, 54% read at or below a 6th grade level. This means that about 75% of US adults are functionally or clinically illiterate.
This impacts their ability to think critically because they cannot comprehend the “facts” they are told to read because the language is above that of a 6th grader allowing propaganda to flourish.
Not every country has an illiteracy rate of 75%, so it isn’t a shock that US citizens were wrong about something.
A fork to the hand works as well.
Step one: I clone my phone allowing two phones to contact my past self.
Step two: “Lose” one phone, after turning on find my friend on the lost phone.
Step three: Send past self false information while keeping constant tab on the assassin who believes they have an edge.
Step four: Hit the assassin before they hit me.
Having read through the other comments I think this is the winner. This person needs to read a book. What a wild hill to die on.
Imagine we mix the two. If a single developer created the (computer) simulation we are living in, aren’t we a hallucination of his brain?
While the creator of the simulation developed the program using his brain, and one could argue thoughts are simply hallucinations of the brain, inside of the simulation we are no longer a part of the “creator”. They may have dreamed us up, but once inside a self contained system we couldn’t be the hallucination of his brain because we now exist outside of it without further control from the creator. (Assuming of course they do not continue to mess with the initial program.)
An interesting though.
I wonder if it’s more or less likely that would be the work of a single developer, or a collaborative effort, like complex development projects require a large group for us. Would assuming a hyper-intelligent brain, or one with infinite time change the equation?
Assuming that the brain is both all knowing and immortal, I would assume that it is capable of creating everything on its own inside of itself. Much like a dream, but far more detailed and consistent.
Is this floating brain (let’s call him ‘god’, just as a placeholder) be more likely to create a physical structure (atoms and such) to run his simulation/hallucination/thought experiment, or just use abstract structures? And would it make a difference for the simulated/hallucinated people inside?
Like our own brains, I would assume it is happening within the biological structures present in the brain. Because it is just a brain in space, I don’t think it is safe to assume it could build foreign structures for use. I would also assume that any changes made could be known by everyone, but likely ignored to maintain the reality. We could explain these changes with the mandala effect, just for fun. Some of us remember, some of us don’t, and this is because the brain is incapable (like us) of full control of every mental faculty.
The reason I brought up the countries you aren’t willing to talk about is because the parallels are important. What is happening in Israel is no different than any of those other countries, and the “reason” you are looking for is simple and you seem to want it to be complicated. It isn’t.
Whether it is Russia, Israel, North Korea, China, USA, Iran, or any other hostile nation is unimportant and they are all the same when boiled down. You can claim it is entrenched in Russians, but I wonder why you don’t make the same claim for the other countries that are just as entrenched in their beliefs. Modern Israelis and Palestinians included.
Radicalized populations don’t just appear out of thin air, requiring intense propaganda and violence to work. There isn’t anything more to understand that the narrative is what it is, and it is repeated ad nauseam by ignorant populations because they think it will keep them safe. They don’t care what you or the “world” thinks of them when they believe they are in an existential crisis.
I don’t think you will get a good faith answer so I will try to help. I don’t support what Israel is doing, but I am technically “Pro-Israel” because I believe in a two state solution. This means I am also very Pro-Palestine, just to be clear and we should be celebrating a Palestine independence day in 2025 with no excuse for why we shouldn’t be.
The explanation for the behavior and defense of Genocide is simple: willful ignorance due to unwavering support brought on by a massive propaganda campaign both locally and globally. It is very easy to fall for that sides rhetoric because of how complicated the history of the area is, and to be frank, most people aren’t intelligent enough to get into the conversation but do it anyways without a single fact to back up their arguments.
What is happening is no different than Russia, US, China, North Korea and the like. The majority in those populations follow the leader, allowing those leaders to commit atrocities.
The Likud party doesn’t expect anyone to interpret that rhetoric as anything else but what it is. At this point they are fully backed by the US in what they are doing and no longer give a fuck about global support because they don’t need it.
There is no good faith argument to support Israel actions, and anyone arguing for the Likud party is always on the wrong side. It will always be bad faith and in support of monsters.
People who don’t believe in Math are doomed to be taken advantage of. ;)
It formed there.
Statistically speaking it is more likely that a single brain formed randomly and is hallucinating the existence of our lives than our species forming as we are through billions of years of evolution and existing on Earth.
I prefer to assume that we are simply the hallucinations of a brain floating through space. Which is more probable than everyone living in a simulation and a lot funnier to think about.
…someone starts filming it. Then it’s evidence.
This is why hyperbole is meaningless.
