At least the Americans seem to be edging slowly toward acceptance. The Europeans still don’t seem to get this concept, that the loser in a war doesn’t get to dictate terms to the winner. What world do these people live in?

The lesson the EU learned from WW2 is that whenever Nazis lose an armed conflict, the United States is supposed to be there to ensure they stay in power and dictate the terms of any superficial political transition.

mind over matter is one way to phrase it, but i prefer triumph of will. it’s more descriptive.

I find I like mind over matter because it gets to the core of the difference in philosophy between idealists and materialists.

Yeah that’s the triumph of the will part, they think if they just wish for something hard enough it’ll happen. I guess the modern term for this is manifesting. :)

i’m saying they’re fundamentally nazis. you know, you dont even have to scratch them, just nudge them and they’ll start blathering about gardens and jungles.

i am increasingly thinking that the idea of europe must die before anything good can grow here. we must become northwest asia.
