Found through, and title from, Nullagent. The thread is definitely worth checking out.
Here is the map of CCTV camera locations. The ones we’re being told about, at least.
It also lists camera models. The one on 7th Ave S and S King Street is listed as an Axis Q6100-E/Q6135-LE. To give you an idea of what these things are capable of, have a look at this product spec video.
Whatever you do, don’t point a high powered laser directly at the cameras you might burn out the CCD sensor, permanently disabling it and we wouldn’t want that now would we?
a blue laser the most powerful wavelength too.
At least now we know that everyone in Seattle is safe 🤡

so people in the CID should just accept a ridiculous amount of violent crime in their neighborhood?
I’m confused.
I value privacy. but if I lived on north aurora I’d want them to reduce the streetwalkers and violence. not sure how to do that without putting hundreds more cops on the streets, sans the cameras…
now the issues I have come down to SPD viewing surveillance as an alternative to actually enforcing the laws. or SPOG figuring out a way to grift more overtime from it.
I get it, I fucking despise trump too, but just saying “federal law enforcement will have access to this local law enforcement tool so it has to go away” seems dubious from the premise.
