It doesn’t matter, the companies will just procure weapons from the US and sell them to Europe anyways.
I’m pretty sure rearm europe (or SAFE as I think they want to rename it) has the intent of spending with local defence companies, moving away from us spend which is why the US is so against it
Not good for the US protection racket.
