How could they ever think that would not be the case? The US doesn’t even look after its own citizens’ healthcare. The US will use them until they cease to be useful to the western imperial agenda and then abandon or turn on them, as needed. That’s what it does with compradors.
It is honestly impressive how people still fall for it.
All fascists care about is being above the rest of their people. They will lick whatever boot they have to. They don’t think that far ahead. They get a taste of power and go for it. Before they know it, they are in a position where they know if they are abandoned by their masters they are done for. They simply don’t realize it till it’s too late. So now they are stuck groveling harder and harder because they know if they don’t it’s over for them. Even if they don’t get killed, them losing all their power might as well be death in their minds. They truly are the most wretched and scummy humans on earth.
