  • “what if your future husband wants children”

“Then he shouldn’t be marrying someone without a uterus” would be the logical response. Sorry you had to go through that bullshit.

If it makes you feel any better, my wife and I were both 40 and already had two healthy kids in elementary school when I got a consultation for a vasectomy. They still made me do everything short of swear on a bible that I wasn’t going to change my mind before they would agree to do it. They insisted that my wife come in with me and sign a document affirming her agreement with the procedure before they would schedule it. Then they made us both give verbal and written agreement AGAIN right before they started. It was nuts (pardon the pun).

Polydatctyly (extra toes) is not all that uncommon in cats. As far as I know it doesn’t lead to any notable negative outcomes. We had a poly cat (named Poly because that’s what the shelter called her) who lived a long and healthy life. Earnest Hemmingway famously kept and bred polydactyl cats at his home in Key West, and if you go visit the staff there still take care of their descendants.

    Here’s our Poly:

  • An early portion indicates that, at the time Randall allegedly ran the flashing stop sign, Iversen was likely too far away from the intersection to see it. Iversen acknowledged as much in his interview with the Texas Rangers, saying he couldn’t see the full intersection but knew it well enough to deduce that Randall’s vehicle hadn’t come to a stop.

So not only did he shoot an unarmed man who posed no threat whatsoever, but it wasn’t even a legal traffic stop in the first place. No wonder he didn’t want the footage released.

  • I’ve written this multiple times in the last few months. I’ll keep doing it because people need to get the message: There isn’t going to be an impeachment, and even if there were, it would fail.

The impeachment process requires cooperation from both houses of congress. A simple majority in the house of representatives must vote to approve articles of impeachment. Then the Senate decides what to do with them. They can hold a trial or they can just vote. Conviction requires a 2/3 majority of the Senate. This is why both attempts to impeach Trump previously already failed. The Senate Republicans simply moved to an immediate vote and killed it.

Now, consider that Republicans currently hold a majority in both houses. THERE WILL BE NO IMPEACHMENT barring a major upset in the midterm elections. Even then it is almost guaranteed to fail. Impeachment is not going to save us.

  • The Supreme Court said, like you said, the president ought to make a good faith effort to get this person returned.

Great. You showed that you can hear and repeat what she already said. Where’s the part where you explain why it’s okay for the President to ignore that order? Because of “foreign affairs”? If asking a foreign government to return someone they deported by mistake is a foreign affairs issue, then THEY SHOULDN’T BE FUCKING DEPORTING PEOPLE WITHOUT DUE PROCESS IN THE FIRST PLACE!!!
